Like many other people, I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 last month. It wasn't long before I got annoyed. I'd be happily doing my thing when suddenly a new window would spawn taking one of my tabs with it. The Dulcinea got frustrated with the same problem on her Mac so I looked into the matter.
This feature is called "tab-tearing" whereby, if you drag a tab from the Tab Bar, it comes up in a new window and pisses you off. While there isn't an option to stop this behavior, there is an extension that will do the trick.
