Ian gave up his halo for a horn

This spring (21 April, to be exact) will bring a new Jethro Tull album called RökFlöte.

It seems that Ian Anderson is again donning the old god's horns as the theme this time revolves around "characters and roles of some of the principle gods of the old Norse paganism". The first single is "Ginnungagap", a primeval, yet mild, abyss that stood between the land of fire to the south and the land of ice to the north. It was there that an evil frost giant named Ymir came to life and it was from the ooze of his left armpit that man and woman sprung. Now, there's a fine creation myth.
