Ted Stevens is the Senator from Alaka who threatened to resign from the Senate if $453 million wasn't used to build a couple bridges in his state that would connect Bumblefuck to Nowhere. And recently he explained how the Internet works:
They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.
It's a series of tubes.
It's so reassuring that people who get to make laws about the Net seem to have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
