Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently novels are going to be dramatized for the radio for the BBC. They are slated to be broadcast this autumn. I look forward to how they handle the couch.
In the meantime, some intrepid fans have already started their own series. Only 2 episodes up so far but I hear a third is in the works.
