Miller <3 Coors
Some news on the beer front - Miller is looking to buy Coors. What will the effects be? For starters, a Miller rep said "It's safe to assume there will be some reductions" so it looks like some folks in Milwaukee are going to get laid off. I'd also imagine that, with Miller gaining some new distribution venues, Leinenkugel's will be pushed into new markets. We'll just have to wait and see how where the chips fall.

I'm not sure Miller is buying Coors - it's more like a merger. In fact, the HQ may not end up in Milwaukee, although they will continue to brew things there.
It should be interesting to see what happens next year, if the merger is approved. Will we be going to Brewers games at MillerCoors Pakr?
My impression was that SABMiller was buying Coors and merging it with Miller. Well, the business details aside, I agree that it should be interesting. Hopefully job losses will be minimal over in the Cream City.
