Here we are back at an annual. I find it odd that they hadn't corrected the problems/quirks of the stories from '68. The Doctor is referred to as "Dr. Who", he calls to Victoria and Jamie as "children", TARDIS is Tardis, and probably other things too. Just weird that no one seems to have bothered to watch the show before writing a story.
Our travelers land in "the No Man's Land of a great interstellar war" between some lizard creatures and humanity yet all the Doctor can muster is "As one might say, it's all happening here." Well, he is an alien, I suppose. Let's see... Victoria faints and the Jamie and Victoria in the illustrations look nothing like the Jamie and Victoria of TV. Humanity has mastered invisibility in this story. Go us!
A childish trick that probably wouldn't work on a 10 year-old allows our heroes to escape the clutches of the reptilian Saurians. Is this story's chronological spot determined by Jamie's ascot?
