Some Doctor Who news to report.
Firstly, the episodes "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances" from Series 1 have won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form) at the 2006 World Science Fiction Convention. The Hugos are like the Grammies for sci-fi.
Secondly, the family of the Doctor's new companion, Martha, have been cast. I am not particularly familiar with any of these folks since I live in the States thouh Trevor Laird was in "The Trial of a Timelord".
Thirdly, The Doctor will meet Shakespeare!
And lastly, producer Russell Davies says that Series 4 is being plotted as I type.
