Fans of the Doctor Who audio dramas and Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor will be pleased to hear that there will be a set of new adventures aired on BBC7 radio starting on New Year's Eve. These are special shows clocking in at 50 minutes apiece (like the new TV series) instead of the normal format of 4 episodes at roughly 25 minutes each. Here's the lineup:
Blood of the Daleks by Steve Lyons (31 December and 7 January)
Horror of Glam Rock by Paul Magrs (14 January)
Immortal Beloved by Jonathan Clements (21 January)
Phobos by Eddie Robson (28 January)
No More Lies by Paul Sutton (4 February)
Human Resources by Eddie Robson (11 and 18 February)
Sheridan Smith voices the new companion Lucie Miller. The series begins with a Dalek episode and ends with Cybermen! Big Finish, the makers of the audio dramas, will release them on CD sometime after they air on BBC 7. Check out the station's website early next year as I guess they'll be available as streaming audio for a week or so after airing.
