There's some interesting programming coming up this weekend on BookTV. (That's channel 17 here in MadTown.)
Set your TiVos for 7AM Saturday as Stephen Greenblat will be speaking. He is the author of Abuse Of Power: How The Government Misuses Eminent Domain. It's a timely tome with the ruling in Kelo, et al v New Haven, in which the Supreme Court ruled that the notion of private property is trumped by "carefully considered development plan(s)".
At 11AM on Sunday, there will be a lengthy interview with Francis Fukuyama. He is the author of the recent America at the Crossroads which criticizes neo-cons for the mess that is Iraq.
Immediately following at 2 is an interview with Bruce Bartlett, a Reagan disciple and economist who was labeled by Slate as one of the Bush Critics You Can Trust.
Plus there's a whole lot more so check out BookTV's schedule.
