All Hail Chuck!

Opening today at The Field Museum in Chicago is a meta-exhibition dedicated to the life, work, and legacy of this guy:



Chuck Darwin.

I say meta-exhibition because the folks at the museum aren't just going to bust out rocks from their vast collection that have been in storage for decades, they're putting on lectures, sponsoring fossil hunts near Mazon Creek north of town, and they will also show Flock of Dodos: The Evolution-Intelligent Design Circus, a documentary about defenders of the truth battling ignorami.

Take your kids and get them on the right track early. This kind of exhibition is extremely important these days, especially in light of the recent Gallup poll which gives dismal statistics like these:
