The Cap Times reports that the Henry Vilas Zoo will be losing one of its polar bears, Nanuq, to the zoo in Buffalo. Reporter Bill Novak begins his piece by saying, "Nanuq is heading North."
According to Wikipedia, Buffalo is located at 42° 54' 17" North while Madison is 43° 4' North.
Ergo Nanuq will be taking a southeasterly vector.
Nitpicking? Yes. But why can't a newspaper get something so simple correct?
