Eastmorland at the movies

I've seen a couple movies scenes reenacted recently in my neighborhood that made me smile.

Last week I was walking to my car and heard a woman from a few houses down across the street make an indistinct gasp-like sound. She was chasing a baby carriage that was perilously rolling down the driveway towards the street. Well, maybe not chasing, exactly, and more like walking moderately swiftly. I presume there was no infant in the carriage.

Still, the famous scene from Battleship Potemkin immediately came to mind.

Just a few days ago, I was driving down Walter Street and saw a woman walking across a terrace with the intent of crossing the street. As I drove by I noticed that she was carrying something - a log. We had our own Log Lady in the neighborhood!
