I saw my first red-winged blackbird of the year!
They were everywhere down at Starkweather Creek. All the little fellas were calling out for the ladies to hear. I wonder if they were thinking that they'd arrived just a bit too early and perhaps were a little pissed off that their homesteading territory was still snowbound.
Also saw cardinals in a bush in our yard. I think this one is cursing all of the house sparrows on the feeder.
