Bad News From Tyranena Brewery

Rob Larson, brewmaster at Tyranena Brewery, says that it's likely that he'll be discontinuing Fighting Finches Mai Bock. On the bright side, in the July, 2006 issue of ALL ABOUT BEER magazine, author K. Florian Klemp proclaims Fighting Finches Mai Bock one of three of the best in the country.

He also notes that he started his next batch of Bitter Woman From Hell yesterday on 6/6/06...

I'm thinking of borrowing a friend's hound for this:

In conjunction with our first Annual Dog Wash on June 24, we're having a raffle, the prizes for which have been generously donated by local community members and businesses. But, oh yeah baby... we're offering up the Grand Prize: FREE Tyranena beer! That's right, one case of cold Tyranena beer per month for an entire year. (Sorry folks, no Brewers Gone Wild! beers will be included! Must be 21 years of age, a legal resident of Wisconsin - skip that one, illegal residents are eligible as well - heck, we'll even let someone from Illinois or Iowa be eligible, employees of the brewery are eligible, volunteers for the brewery are eligible, but there may be other restrictions that come to us up to the point of drawing) That's approximately a $350 value. Tickets will be sold for just $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and may only be purchased on the day of the Dog Wash (in case you missed it, that's Saturday, June 24 from Noon until 4). Visit our website for more details and a listing of all the great prizes. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
