I grabbed dinner last night at La Pollera Colombiana, a newish Colombian restaurant here in Madison.
The waiter was friendly and the space looked warm and welcoming on a snowy evening that was desperately clinging onto the last rays of daylight.
I ordered roasted chicken and skirt steak. On the side was a lot of rice along with beans, sweet plantain, and grilled potato. Hot sauce and a cilantro mayo sauce were included.
Very tasty! Despite being on the salty side, the chicken had a really nice flavor while the steak was good although not highly seasoned. The grilled potato was nice because grilled foods are tasty and I can't grill now that it's December and snowy and cold. I suspect that the cilantro mayo was very fresh and tasted much better this morning after the marriage of the flavors had been consummated.
