I missed this at the Wisconsin Film Festival back in the spring and finally rented it from Four Star.
Another weird flick. It's comprehensible for a little while at the beginning and then I got seriously lost. Perhaps a little knowledge of Rwandan society may have helped me. As it is, I enjoyed the use of music in the film, especially the diagetic stuff. The costumes and all the colors were great too.
But the story flummoxed me. Oppressive government, rebels, long interlude, and then the rebels again. I would definitely need a second viewing to piece more together.
