A local boy done good. Vig recalls the early days of Smart Studios and starting his career in Madison. I didn't know Billy Corgan brought The Smashing Pumpkins there after he heard Killdozer. I've heard that Twelve Point Buck was what motivated Kurt Cobain to seek out Vig but not Corgan.
